We've got NetApp filers connected at a number of sites, to a few brands of console servers (including the Cisco devices). You probably already know the Cisco pinouts, but you can find them at http://www.conserver.com/consoles/ciscocons.html (Note that the Cisco adapters tie the center two RJ-45 leads together, which tells the Cisco port it's in RS-232 mode...this may be important if you're using a conscole or aux port.) You can also get adapter reference info on the host-to-adapter guide (http://www.conserver.com/consoles/cisco-hosts.html), and info on adapters from Americable is there as well (follow links to the cisco adapter kit). The main page (http://www.conserver.com/consoles/) has pointers to guides for Xylogics/Bay/Nortel Annex servers, Chase IOLAN, and Xylogics/iTouch servers as well, in case anyone is interested. -Z- (http://www.conserver.com/consoles/breakoff.html)
