I know of one 'large ISP's "production service"' network,
where they used (4) conserver instances (running in distributed
mode, in each of 4 data centers), logging for more than 2K ports,
across 128 console servers (largely
Cisco gear)...
In that instance, each Conserver was logging for console
servers
and ports in the same data center, but the conserver.cf
file
knew about a four instances, so it would redirect the
console
clients to the proper server for client sessions.
