You don't say how many ports you need.  If it's anywhere from 5 up to
30, I'd highly recommend a used Portmaster 2 or 2e.  See

You can get a 10-port box for $200 and a 30-port for $350.  And they
work fine with Sun machines as they don't send spurious BREAK signals.
